Excursion’s Itinerary:
This excursion leaves from the port and takes you through the historic sites and places of interest in George Town, the Capital/Down Town. From there, we proceed through the residential area, viewing some of our beautifully architecture homes, while heading up to the eastern side of the Island. We then have a 25 minute drive to the Queen Elizabeth II’s Botanical Gardens. The tour of the Gardens take approximately 1 hour and offers a Heritage Garden, a Floral Colour Garden, a Lake and Wetlands, a Nature Trail, a Sanctuary holding our famous and endangered Blue Iguanas, a Visitor’s Centre, a Gift Shop and a Refreshments Café. After being chased out by our mesmerizing Iguanas, we will head back to the cruise, but not before stopping for 15 minutes at our famous Tortuga Rum Cake Factory for free tasting of the rum and rum cakes, to top off the day!!
